Earth Tones is an indie-soul band from Vancouver, Canada. Band members Yamil Chain-Haddad (guitar/rhodes), Jamison Ko (drums) , Sydney Tough (bass and vocals) and Karen White (keys and vocals) met in university while studying jazz music. Starting out as a soul cover band, the group has drawn from a wide range of musical influences to hone the sound of their original music. In March 2021, they released their self-titled debut EP and their single, All I Got, was voted a top 100 finalist in CBC’s Toyota Searchlight contest. Grounded in groove, uplifting lyrics and soulful vocal delivery, their music resonates with honesty and hopeful resolve.

 

Earth Tones acknowledges with gratitude that the land on which we reside and make music is the traditional, unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ / sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
