Mood Indigo is a 1930's old school jazz duo featuring Russell Sholberg and Shannon Scott. The band is named after the Duke Ellington 1930's jazz standard hit song, Mood Indigo.

These two incredible jazz musicians have been a mainstay on the local Vancouver jazz scene for many years. The group is able to add to their line-up a sax player, vocalist or drummer if requested.

Russell Sholberg holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Education from Simon Fraser University as well as a Commercial Music Diploma from Capilano College. He has toured with Tony Wilson, Joel Kroeker, Kevin House and Zeellia and his theatre credits include Other Freds and the Firehall production of Urintown. Russell was also a member of Pugs and Crows, a Canadian instrumental music group that  are most noted for winning a Juno Award for Instrumental Album of the Year.

Shannon Scott is a vocalist/pianist from Red Deer, Alberta. She graduated in 2006 from Capilano University’s Bachelor of Jazz Studies program, and has since been an active musician in Vancouver's scene. With a diverse musical background, Shannon has recorded, performed and toured with projects that range from her original jazz-meets-folk project, to a vintage vocal harmony group (Company B Jazz Band), to collaborative work with interdisciplinary composer Barbara Adler and vocal arrangements with Canadian spoken word icon CR Avery.
