DALLAS ARCAND JR
Dallas Arcand Jr. is an accomplished second-generation hoop dancer and aboriginal entertainer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Starting from an early age, he's been in front of crowds of up to 40,000 people at the Calgary Stampede Rodeo halftime show with his father, 3-time World Champion, Dallas Arcand Sr. In 2010 he attended the Victoria School of the Performing Arts, where he learned valuable insight into music and performing.
He performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and the 2012 Olympics in London along with his father and Canadian musician Corb Lund, and in 2018 he danced at the South Korean Olympics.
Dallas Arcand Jr. is a self-taught musician, singing lead vocals and playing flute, guitar, piano and drums. He has translated those musical skills into music production. In 2015, he worked on several hip-hop projects, one of which was played on local Edmonton Radio stations. In 2017, he morphed into EDM and has several dance tracks to his credit. He has 2 solo flute CDs available on iTunes.
His first traditional flute CD titled ‘Moonshadows’ was released July 2018. His second contemporary flute CD, ‘Coyote and Raven’ was released in February 2019. ‘Rez Dog Blues’ was released Dec 2022.
