DJ Dran's life started in 2010 when he was invited to an event where DJMIA (DJ for MTV America’s best dance crew) was spinning. He didn't know who she was at the time, but after hearing her play and seeing the way she controlled the crowd with her music, it inspired him. From that moment, he wanted to "rock the party" as she did.

Shortly after, DJ Dran bought his first turntables (yes vinyl records) and mixer and started learning the craft of DJing. After a few months, he got his first chance to DJ in front of people at a friend’s house party and the adrenaline rush he got from playing got him hooked!

 

Since then he's been doing DJ events such as corporate parties, weddings, fashion shows and private events, as well as at several nightclubs around the city and a DJ residency at Cactus Club Cafe.

He plays a wide range of music genres, but his favourite genre is old-school hip-hop.
