Vancouver based singer-songwriter Karishma Deo brings together Indian and American culture in a new era of music.
Karishma has studied songwriting and composition from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and has trained in Indian classical music, western vocals and music theory since she was 10 years old. Growing up, she loved watching Bollywood movies and listening to American music on the radio after school. Since then, she has dreamed to sing on the same stage as the legendary singers that she grew up hearing and has begun to achieve those dreams.
Karishma has performed as the opening singer for Bollywood singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Atif Aslam, Sonu Nigam, and Pritam Da in their North American concerts. She has also performed at the 2018 Juno awards and accompanied RNB singer Daniel Caesar for his Junos performance at Rogers Arena. Having done over 200 performances, Karishma captivates the audience through her singing, dancing, audience interaction and stage presence.
Karishma has released original songs in English and Hindi languages named “Sansani” and “Jhumo to the Rhythm” that can be found on Spotify, Youtube and iTunes Music, amongst other platforms.
