Solo pianist, Tom Lavin is Chicago-born musician, record producer, and songwriter, and founder/leader of the Juno Award-winning Canadian blues band, Powder Blues.
Based in Vancouver, BC, Tom has many decades of performing on thousands of stages and excels at playing many instruments, include piano, electric guitar, and bass. He has won numerous accolades, including a Juno Award for "Best New Band," a W.C. Handy Blues Music Award, and multiple British Columbia Music Industry Association awards. Lavin has also earned many gold and platinum records as a producer for various artists, including Prism, April Wine, and Long John Baldry.
Tom has also composed soundtracks for films, such as Out of the Blue and My American Cousin.
