Lacri and Elizabeth are a dynamic piano and flute duo whose artistry bridges classical, jazz, and world traditions. Pianist Lacri Galagan, originally from Moldova, holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Finland’s prestigious Sibelius Academy. During her studies, she received the Steinway Inspirational Scholarship and Third Prize at the Leevi Madetoja National Piano Competition. 

 

Czech flutist Alžběta (Elizabeth) Nováková began her musical journey at the age of five, studying recorders and piano before discovering her passion for the classical flute. She earned her Diploma in Flute Performance and Pedagogy from the Conservatory in Olomouc (Czech Republic), studying under the mentorship of a principal flutist of a philharmonic orchestra.

Now both based in Vancouver, Lacri and Elizabeth share a deep musical connection and a passion for exploring diverse styles—from classical masterpieces to jazz improvisations and Balkan-inspired rhythms. Their performances are marked by warmth, elegance, and expressive depth, creating inviting musical experiences for concert audiences, weddings, receptions, and private events.
