Elation Duo was formed in 2018. It features Bojan Bugarinovic (guitar) and Thomas Beckman (viola). The duo currently plays in local venues in the Greater Vancouver area, most recently at Cafe Lokal. Our aim is to present a mix of swing, latin and gypsy jazz alongside a budding repertoire of original works. 

 

In early 2020, Elation Duo got engaged in producing their own EP that is about to be released with Pacific Coast Jazz label. Elation Duo’s EP features five original jazz tunes of a wide array of styles rooted in the music of Mediterraneans: percussive ostinatos, interchanging improvised solos, soaring glissandi and an overall vibrant dialogue of interchanging motives are but some of the stylistic traits within the EP.
