Colin Sankey is a bass player, composer, and arranger from Vancouver, BC. Compared to Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, and Alain Caron, his use of extended techniques, such as tapping and harmonics, creates lush harmonies and infectious grooves that sound almost orchestral in nature.

Recently, Colin travelled to New York and won 1st place in the 2022 Phil Jones Solo Bass Competition, playing one of his original compositions Musica de la Noche. He was also the 2nd place winner of the 2021 BITE Bass Contest (worldwide), hosted by Charles Berthoud, and has been featured on George Collier's YouTube channel, with over 500,000 subscribers. Colin recently released his debut album, Reawakening, which has been featured on Bass Magazine and CBC Radio.

Colin recently went viral on TikTok with his bass battle against Charles Berthoud, getting over 1.6 million views. He is now sharing his inspiring arrangements of jazz, funk, rock, and Latin music with his 32,000+ followers, and remains active on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube.
