Featuring the extraordinary vocal talents of Tim Fuller, accompanied by acclaimed Grammy Award-winning keyboardist and musical director Ian Prince, this sophisticated and nostalgic production pays tribute to five of the most influential voices of the 20th century: Sam Cooke, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, Jackie Wilson, and Nat “King” Cole. From the smooth sophistication of traditional pop and romantic ballads to the infectious rhythms of early R&B and soul, audiences will be transported on a musical journey spanning the late 1940s through the swinging 1960s.

 

Tim Fuller brings a lifetime of musical excellence, charisma, and soulful expression to the stage. Born in Minnesota and now based in Vancouver, Fuller has enjoyed an accomplished international career as a vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist. From touring with the acclaimed a cappella quartet The Melloyds to fronting Vancouver’s celebrated funk and soul ensemble SoulStream, Tim has built a reputation for his rich, expressive vocals and commanding stage presence. His extensive musical background, encompassing jazz, gospel, R&B, funk, and contemporary soul, makes him the ideal interpreter of the legendary artists whose music helped shape generations.

Joining Tim is Ian Prince, an internationally accomplished musician, songwriter, arranger, and keyboardist whose remarkable career includes collaborations with some of the biggest names in popular music. Classically trained at London’s prestigious Royal College of Music, Prince signed his first songwriting contract with EMI Music at just 17 years old, going on to write for artists including Jermaine Jackson and Earth, Wind & Fire.

 

His exceptional talents earned him a Grammy Award in 1989 for his contributions to Quincy Jones’ multi-platinum album Back on the Block, along with an impressive catalogue of chart successes, including a Billboard No. 1 pop single. Together, Fuller and Prince bring musical artistry, authenticity, and undeniable chemistry to The Architects of Soul—a heartfelt celebration of the songs, stories, and extraordinary performers who defined the golden age of American music.
