DJ CALHOUN

DJ Calhoun, lyric baritone, was born and raised in Calgary Alberta and moved to Vancouver in 2003 to commence studies at the UBC School of Music, where he earned

a Bachelor of Music degree, and a Masters in Music.

 

He has performed many roles, most notably ‘Paris’ in Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette, ‘Danilo’ in Lehar’s The Merry Widow,

‘Falke’ in Strauss’ Die Feldermaus, and ‘Marcello’ in Puccini’s La Boheme.

 

In 2009, Mr.Calhoun embarked on a second career in musical theatre appearing as ‘Feuilly’ in the Arts Club Theatre's production of Les Miserable. He also was one of the original members of the popular classical nouveau vocal group, Vivace.

 

In addition to his professional work, Mr.Calhoun still finds time to perform for community fundraising organizations including the Shooting Stars Foundation and the Vancouver Friends for Life Society.
