Andrea was born and raised in Surrey, daughter of classical violinist, conductor and teacher Lucille Lewis.  After completing her Bachelor Degree of Music in 1995 from the University of Victoria and the Suzuki Education course at Western Washington University with internationally recognized Suzuki pedagogue William Starr, Andrea joined the Registered Music Teachers association and operated a private music studio. 

 

From 1995-2007 Andrea developed a performance career as the fiddle player for a Nettwerk Recording Artist, performing over 2 thousand live shows, recording 7 cds of which 60,000 copies sold. 

 

Performing highlights included numerous appearances at the Vancouver Canucks Hockey games (2000-2009) and concerts and tours with artists such as Ashley MacIsaac, Leahy, Vassar Clements, The Proclaimers, Kathleen Edwards, Chris Isaak and Taylor Swift. Andrea resides in Cloverdale with her husband and 2 young children.
