Vancouver Samba was founded by Yulia Terekh, a true passionate dancer and performer of Latin and Afro-Brazilian cultural dances. Since 2011, Yulia has performed in various Latin and Afro-Brazilian shows in Canada and internationally, she has taken workshops and classes with the world-renowned dancers and professionals from Brazil, Europe, Latin and North America, performed in various venues and paraded multiple times in Afro-Brazilian Carnivals in Vancouver. Yulia continues to expand her knowledge and skills in dance and cultural aspects of samba in order to pass it down to her students and all interested.

 

The organization was founded to further promote Brazilian culture and the beauty of Brazilian samba dance in Vancouver by offering Beginner and Intermediate classes for the public, as well as granting performance and international trip opportunities to Samba Congresses and Samba Carnival in Rio de Janeiro for all students. 

 

They are a team of samba dancers offering wedding/events entertainment in the form of a dazzling and colourful Brazilian Samba dance show and interactive.

 

They also offer a unique “Samba Queen Experience” package for a bride and bridesmaids where you can join their dancing team and surprise your guests with your look, dance and dancing charisma. VSS collaborates with talented musicians as well to accompany us with the live drumming and provides authentic costume rental services and authentic choreography that caters to your needs and is personalized to your event’s vision.
