KRISTIN CARTER

Music has always been a constant in Kristin’s life. However, having only sung in choirs since childhood, her drive to be a standalone artist was born from a need to be creative after university.  A passionate academic, she completed her degree in Economics from Dalhousie University.

Upon returning to Vancouver, she felt an overwhelming need to keep music in her life, and would spend her three-hour work commute writing music in a journal called “Songs from the SkyTrain”.

With encouragement from family and friends, she recorded the SkyTrain songs, formed a band and eventually landed her first professional gig opening for a local artist at The Roxy in early 2016. She was hooked. The rush of performing planted a solo artist career firmly in her sights, and she hasn’t looked back. Kristin quickly garnered the attention of BC’s music community, including that of multi-award winning producer, Jeff Johnson.

“Kristin Carter brings power, precision and excitement to the stage every time she sings. Her vocal range rivals most in her craft and I am excited to see her explode to new heights in the New Year!
