The singer/songwriter has already had an impressive career. She just performed to a sold out evening at Summer-set Festival, 2021. Shylo spent her time prior to Covid recording her first EP, then releasing all 6 singles to all digital platforms. She pushed her single "Summer of You" to radio, where she received a few plays on stations and over 118,000 spins on Spotify. She also accompanied her release with a Canada-wide radio tour and a 5-State road trip across Utah and LA for her music video.
Sharity placed second in Canada's Walk of Fame’s RBC Emerging Musician Program two years prior where she was privileged to perform alongside Charlotte Cardin on Festival du Voyage’s main stage in Winnipeg. Sharity has been nominated for Female Artist and Mandolin player of the year, as well as for The Ray Mcauley Horizon award at the BCCMA’s. She has also had the honour of performing on the BCCMA’s main stage event.
Shylo was one of only three people selected to join Terri Clark this past May in Calgary for her induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Sharity participated in the CCMA Discovery program as one of the six across Canada. She was invited the following year to perform at their songwriter round.
Shylo received the Bell Media’s full-ride scholarship to attend the Canadian Music Incubator two-month business intensive in Toronto.
Shylo has performed at the TD Juno’s green room and opened for Jan Ardens last minute replacement, The Tenors at the prestigious Commodore Ballroom. Shylo has also had the honour of playing live at Robson Square for the Variety fundraiser alongside The Washboard Union. She opened for Toby Keith on Sunfest’s main stage and for Wynonna Judd and Dallas Smith at a Variety the Children's Charity fundraiser.
Shylo taught herself how to play the mandolin and harmonica to stand out in a crowd of amazing female singer-songwriters, which this next EP will showcase.
Shylo is thrilled to get back into the studio to record her next EP. She is confident in her new songs and can’t wait to share them with Country radio and her fans. She plans on building upon the momentum she’s already established and further develop her relationships with the radio DJs across Canada. Shylo has continuous support from her previous producers, studios, videographers, instrumentalists, distributors, radio trackers, clothing partners, and photographers. She is grateful for all she has learned about the industry and herself as an artist and is ready for that next step!
